A.T.S. Officers arrive in Canada.
Left to right - J/C Elizabeth McHaughton of Edinburgh, who will undertake personnel selection duties, was born in Manchuria and lived there for some years. She is an M.A. of Edinburgh University and has also taken an Education Diploma. J/C Margaret Smith, aged 28, of Sutton Hall, Woodbridge, Suffolk, is the only messing officer in the party. In civilian life she had wide experience in domestic science and catering. After a period at an A.T.S. Training Centre, she replaced an A.C.C. Messing officer at an Infantry Training Centre, supervising the feeding of hundreds of Army recruits. Until her present posting she had been Catering Advisor to South Eastern Command, H.Q. since June 1943. J/C Peggy Lambert of Totteridge, N.20. she is 28, is being sent for duties in connection with Trade Training. She is an M.T. specialist. J/C Marjorie Duckworth of Skipton, Yorkshire, is one of two officers chosen for personnel selection duties She was personnel officer at a factory before joining up and she has also visited America. She has a degree in Sociology and is a member of the Institute of Labour Management.

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
