A Helicopter trip back to 300 B.C.: For nine months a small, hardy group of people have been living an authentic Iron Age existence in a specially-constructed village at a secret location in Englands West Country. Living in thatched huts with mud walls, they wear smelly animal skins and coarsely-woven cloaks, clean their teeth with sea salt and shaven twigs and use leaves instead of toilet paper. The group, now comprising five couples, is recreating life in 300 B.C. in a one-year experiment for BBC Television which will produce a series of programmes from film shot by cameramen who are not permitted to aid the group in any Twentieth Century way. Originally another couple the Ainsworths, and their three children were part of the group but one childs sickness forced them to leave in December. These pictures, obtained when the British newspaper Sunday People hired a helicopter to find the secret location (but kept in secret), represent the first look at the Iron Age village. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
