A prestigious and fast service, haulage was given to one of the GWRs premier locomotives, King class No. 6028, formely King Henry II, but newly renamed King George VI after his coronation.
Hard to imagine, but before the war there was practically no long-distance road freight transport, everything went by rail. West of England and Scilly Isles Flower Special arriving at Paddington Station in the early hours of the morning. February 1937
