Minimum altitude attack by two RAF Mosquitos of the
Second Tactical Air Force on an enemy-occupied airfield at Gael, some 40 miles inland from St. Malo in France during the Second World War.
Just what " minimum altitude" means is shown in three photographs
Picture shows: Three flak towers - platforms
on which anti-aircraft guns are mounted with smoke rising from a bomb-burst near the base of the tower on the right.
The puff of white smoke from the muzzle of the gun on the flak tower on the extreme left indicates that it has just been fired, presumably at the second Mosquito following that from which this photograph was taken.
