Low-level photograph taken during a daylight raid on the St Joseph locomotive works at Nantes, France, by twelve De Havilland Mosquitos of Nos. 105 and 139 Squadron RAF. The first bombs from the low-level formation leader, Squadron Leader Peter Blessing, hit the roofs of the plan building (top) as workers stream away from the factory. The raid was an outstanding success, not one bomb missing the target and no building in the target area failing to be hit. 23rd March 1943
