World War Two. Eventide in Holland'. British Soldiers pause to light their cigarettes in a picturesque setting near Eindhoven. 1st October 1944.
At this point in World World Two, the Normandy D Day landings had happened in June, and The Battle for Arnhem had taken place in the September. Ahead would be The Battle of The Bulge throughout December 1944 and January 1945, which would see the German army surrender.
