Framed Print of EMI Abbey Road Recording Studio Feature. Picture shows one of the reel to reel tape

EMI Abbey Road Recording Studio Feature.
Picture shows one of the reel to reel tape machines and propped up behind it, one of the original tapes that The Beatles used to record songs for their 1965 album Rubber Soul.
Three songs are listed, Run For Your Life (recorded 12th October 1965), This Bird Has Flown, which became better known as Norwegian Wood (recorded 12th October 1965 - this version not used and re-recorded 21st October) and finally Drive My Car (13th October 1965). Note the name on the box, G H Martin (H for Henry) - Producer for the label Parlophone. On the right hand column are details of how the 2 inch tape 4 track machine was used for each instrument or vocal. The Beatles and George Martin developed many techniques to mix, copy and producer sounds way beyond the initial limits of only 4 tracks.
