Framed Print of Going Dutch ? that is a cassette made by youngsters at St Johns C of E School

Going Dutch ? that is a cassette made by youngsters at St Johns C of E School, Golcar. The children have made a recording about their village to be sent to friends at their nchool in Voorburg, Holland. The tape is being made with the help of Mr Trevor Wood, a Batley teacher who has been seconded to Radio Leeds as part of a scheme run by the local authority. The recording will feature interviews with local people including the Vicar of Golcar, the Rev Andrew Martlew, and Kirklees public relations officer Mr Norman Daley. The tape will be ready by next month and the school is hoping to receive a similar gift - as long as it is recorded in English. 29th June 1987. © Mirrorpix
