Framed Print of A thriving BMX club is hoping some heavyweight help will roll up to prepare the track for

A thriving BMX club is hoping some heavyweight help will roll up to prepare the track for a big event, 18th July 1986. About 20 tonnes of fine dolomite is being spread on the Cleveland clubs circuit at Redcar Racecourse, but they haven t got a roller to flatten it. And with 700 riders expected next month for the first live TV coverage of BMX in Britain, the club is desperate to enlist help. We have an arrangement with Tyne Tees Television to show races on 8th August said Press officer Brian Atkinson. We must be ready for that, but it seems impossible to lay hand on one of these motorised rollers. © Mirrorpix
