Allan Watkins, was one of Glamorgans greatest cricketers. He played in 15 Test matches and twice accomplished the double of 1, 000 runs and 100 wickets in a season. *THERE was a special poignancy to the former Glamorgan players day at the Swalec Stadium yesterday when news emerged of Allan Watkins death at 89. Some of the old players present shared the same dressing room as Watkins, who guaranteed his place in Glamorgan folklore by becoming the first player from the county to score a Test hundred and the first to appear in an Ashes Test. Simple statistics show the scale of Watkins ability as a genuine all-rounder in the immediate post-war era. In a 23-year Glamorgan career containing 407 appearances, Watkins scored 17, 419 runs his tally of 29 first-class hundreds placing him seventh in the clubs all-time list and took 774 wickets. 7th, June, 1954. © Mirrorpix

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
