The greatest quantity of airborne supplies ever dropped to resistance forces in the Mediterranean zone during a 48 hour period was safely delivered to Marshal Titos partisan army in Yugoslavia by the RAF.
600 tons of supplies were dropped by nearly 500 aircraft, heavy and medium bombers of an RAF group, placed at the disposal of the Balkan Air Force.
