Nick Bass (21) completes his apprenticeship in the printing trade. He became " Lady Codiva" to mark the end of his six year apprenticeship as a compositor at Wilkinson Bros, Laystall Street, near Leather Lane. He had a necklace of cods heads, was tied to a trolley, had water, printers inks, flour and pickle thrown at him. He was then rushed down Leather Lane on his trolley via the Daily Mirror and then returned to Laystall Street. 17th October 1969.Students celebrate end of exams by covering each other in flour
