Frederick Rowland Emett OBE, known as Rowland Emett, was an English cartoonist

Frederick Rowland Emett OBE, known as Rowland Emett, was an English cartoonist and constructor of whimsical kinetic sculpture.
Rowland is pictured here with his design for a vintage car of the future. It entails an anti pollution device including flowers, that will give off a scent to kill the smells of pollution in todays world. The car was shown for the very first time today in London. It will be exhibited all over the world from Japan to Chicago to New Zealand. The car has cost the sponsors Messrs BORG-WARNER a mere 100, 000 dollars. By the time the car has been exhibited all over the world it will have cost a quarter of a million dollars. The cars designer stood in front of the car today and smiled.
