All the competitors are paralysed and they flew in a specially chartered plane with the Irish team. Sir Ludwig Guttmann, Chairman and founder of the games, is pictured with 18-year-old Karen Hill from Mansfield, who lost her job as a telephonist for taking too much time off. 3rd November 1968
