The first gifts ever given publicly to Newcastles Freeman Hospital are handed over by Mr James Bell to Dr. Bob Cooper (left). They are an Ultratherm for relieving arthritis; a colour TV set and a radiogram. They are also the last to be given by the Forest Hall and Longbenton Care Association, which has now been wound up. On the right is the Freeman administrator, Mr. Len Fenwick. 7th September 1977
