Carrying the banner Khushi Ka Mela, a festival of Asian arts

Carrying the banner..Khushi Ka Mela, a festival of Asian arts, has been happening in Thornton Lodge. The festival has included workshops, a childrens procession, storytelling, theatre and dance and was organised by Thornton Lodge Nursery School and members of Chol Theatre. Children from several schools in the area have been involved, both preparing for the festival and taking part. The festival was based on Asian stories collected from within the local community. 25th March 1991
