Mexican-born Gabriel Beristain, who previously worked on the Blade vampire film trilogy which starred Wesley Snipes, is to direct The House of Abraham Phillips, based on the life of a former Lan pit owner from Gwaelod-y-Garth near Pentyrch.
The film is based on a book of the same name, written by environmental campaigner Norma Procter in 2012, to mark the creation of a permanent memorial on the mine site
