A modern day time capsule was carefully hoisted on the top of a Langbaurgh Church as skilled stonemasons reconstructed a seven foot urn on top of the Mausoleum (adjoining the Church of St Cuthbert) in Kirkleatham. Church warden Stuart Ramsdale had sealed a collection of items inside glass bottles to be stored in the hollowed stonework. This 1984 capsule replaces a 1839 version discovered when the urn was removed as part of the restoration work. 22nd March 1984
