The 2nd of June 1937 was Derby day and the usual bright and cheerful scenes greeted the spectators as they entered the Epsom racecourse. One of the most vibrant figures they would have met that day was Prince Monolulu who kept the crowd entertained in between races.
The Derby itself was won by " Midday Sun" and was owned by Mrs G.B.Miller, making her the first woman to win the Derby
