The most well known of the Scottish Glens, Glen Coe, The Glen of Weeping has an air of solemnity to it which is not only due the massacre, when in 1692 the Campbells fell upon the MacDonalds butchering many and scattering the rest of the Clan into a blizzard, but also due to the Mountains that cage this Glen in.
This photograph shows two of the Three Sisters of Glen Coe, and you can see that even on a sunny afternoon such as the one when this picture was taken, the Glen remains an imposing place.
