The gate was lowered, and into Messrs. T. W. Greenwell and Companys new 670 foot long dry dock at Sir James Laing & Sons, Yard, Sunderland nosed the recently built 15, 000 ton tanker Merchant Knight.
It was the first ship into the dock which will be opened officially next month.
