Indeed, there is no need to shout out to them the news that they are a couple of strange things that have cropped up in the weird and wonderful world of cats. The twins here mew and purr but apart from that they bear little resemblance to other cats.
They are a mixture of two varieties of Devon Rex cats - a comparatively new breed. The curious couple have got ears like Dumbo, faces like a pixie, and white tightly-curled coats, sprinkled with lilac highlights. And they ve got names to match their exotic appearance. Big brother, on the left, is called Sayonara Lilac Time. His twin sister, almost identical except for being lightly smaller, is Sayonara Lilac Frost. January 1972 P007912
