With a doctor and nurse at his side, a boy is being taken by this R.A.F. helicopter (1-10-57) to a hospital where he was rushed for special treatment: The boy, Derek Garner, was severely burned by electricity when he was climbing a pylon carrying a 33, 000-volt cable near his home at Stifford, near Grays, Essex. He was taken to the nearby Orsett Hospital. Then, yesterday, doctors decided Derek needed special treatment at another hospital and asked for the help of a rescue helicopter. The helicopter landed in a cricket field marked by sheets bearing the letter H (for " here" ). Derek was taken aboard. He was then flown to Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, Middlesex.
