World War II Women: East Hams unit of the W. J. A. C. besides having a full trumpet

World War II Women: East Hams unit of the W.J.A.C. besides having a full trumpet band, now have a mascot, a Labrador named Major. The mascot was given to them by Mechanic Sgt. Major T. Hibbert whose daughter is a member of the unit. To get him used to the band he takes regular practice with them. Major leads the band whilst drum major Eileen Wheeller, 16 1/2, throws her staff high in the air. July 1944 P010202
