Nelly Bligh, the dog.
This dog, called Nelly Bligh, owned by Mr Mallion, Hubbards Farm, Lenham Heath, Lenham, Kent, saved the the life of her master.
Mr Mallion was knocked down and bitten by a boar. To add to his danger, a pig and a sow also joined in the fray. Nelly Bligh, seeing her masters trouble rushed in and attacked the infuriated animals, holding them at bay until her barks brought help.
