A daylight photograph taken by the RAF after the attack on the Matford Motor Works at Poissy near Paris, France on the night of 2nd April 1942, the second night in succession. The factory was completing 600 complete lorries per month for the German Army and the essential parts of another 400 which were assembled elsewhere.
The points where damage was observable are indicated
as follows:
A : The Main Building.
B. Subsidiary factory building, including what is probably the Foundry with track of fire across them.
C: Column of smoke drifting away from the main and subsidiary buildings.
D: Flash of anti-aircraft gun.
E: The track of tracers coming from gun towards aircraft.
