When the Germans retreated in Yugoslavia, they destroyed t all railways, locomotives and machines capable of helping in the reconstruction of the country. The United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) came to the scene, and supplied 50 British tractors from the Middle East.
The tractors came by air, each plane carrying two machines. Allied planes are also transporting food to isolated areas.
