There is an advertisement to be seen in the Middle East these days, It reads: LEAVE CAMP - WHERE LEAVE REALLY IS LEAVE. NO REVEILLE, FATIGUES OR DRESSING UP.
The advertisement appears in a seaside resort on the Palestine coast, and this camp is the latest step towards providing the troops in the Middle East, who are unable to get home on leave, with a place to relax from the rigours of fighting.
Prices at the camp are extremely low and are controlled. Transport meets the troops at the station and takes them to the camp free of charge, Beds, blankets. sports kit and other holiday gear are all provided. The camp is run by British staff, ATS, Italian prisoners of war and European women assistants
Servicemen can get up when they like in the morning and if they so choose, they can
stay in bed;. Excellent food is served by cheerful Italian prisoners who like the work.
There is the best of bathing in the blue Mediterranean, tennis, football, cricket, reading, writing, new film
shows every evening, concerts, dancing and a fun fair.

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
