The Army postal service plays a great part in keeping the morale of the troops to a high standard.
Letters from home are regularly looked forward to, and their importance is fully recognised by the authorities and the delivery of the mail is therefore entrusted to personnel who have had experience in the postal service and have been specially enlisted for this work.
The Officer commanding has had a vast experience as a
postmaster. He has 200 sub-> post offices under his charge in the Western desert, and his staff handles 200 bags of mail daily.
