St Giles-without-Cripplegate, Fore Street, London, gutted after a German bomb is dropped

St Giles-without-Cripplegate, Fore Street, London, gutted after a German bomb is dropped on it during The Blitz of World War Two. This was one of the very first German air raids on London in World War Two.
St Giles-without-Cripplegate is an Anglican church in the City of London, located on Fore Street within the modern Barbican complex. When built it stood without the city wall, near the Cripplegate. The church is dedicated to St Giles, patron saint of lepers, beggars and the handicapped
