A service was held today in the ruins of the bombed church St Mary le Bow
A service was held today in the ruins of the bombed church St Mary le Bow (Bow Bells Church) and was taken by the Bishop of Croydon. The famous Bow Bells were played from BBC recordings and 30 American soldiers attended the service. The service in progress with the vicar receiving " Old Glory" with which the altar was draped before the service.
