An important British convoy was recently attacked in the Mediterranean by Italian

An important British convoy was recently attacked in the Mediterranean by Italian aircraft. Escorting naval
forces under Vice-Admiral Sir James Somerville accounted for 13 enemy planes by putting up a terrific anti- aircraft barrage, from which only one attacker escaped.
It was during a second attack that the battleship " Nelson" (33, 950 tons) was hit, but scarcely damaged, by a torpedo dropped by a Fiat BR20 machine which was subsequently shot down by our fighters.
This remarkable picture shows the Fiat BR20 attacking, with the splash of the torpedo which hit the " Nelson".
