An enemy naval force of four large-sized minesweepers moving up the Norwegian Coast was attacked of Christiansansand by Beaufighters of RAF Coastal Command on 11th September 1944.
All the minesweepers were left on fire, three of them blazing furiously, after the attack by cannon, rockets and torpedoes.
