Japanese Suicide Pilots Fail Against British Pacific Fleet Carriers
Japanese Suicide Pilots Fail Against British Pacific Fleet Carriers.
It has now been revealed that during two months of strikes by ships of the British Pacific Fleet against the Sakishama Islands, Fleet Carriers bore the brunt of the attacks of the Kamikaze Corps.
Then 140 Japanese aircraft were destroyed of damaged but five of the suicide pilots succeeded in diving their planes in the decks of the British carriers. H.N.S. Indefatigable and H.N.S.Victorious were among the ships hit, but only minor damage was caused.
