Eight and a half thousand bottles of specially brewed beer have been flown out to

Eight and a half thousand bottles of specially brewed beer have been flown out to the Falkland Islands, thats one bottle each for the troops stationed on the islands. Bottles have also been sent to the wounded in British hospitals. The new, super-strong ale was made and donated by the Newcastle Breweries Ltd for the Sunday Mirror. Pictured, theres nothing like a pint to aid recovery for these lads, Rifleman Kamal Limbo, Privates Jim Ferguson, Steve Shevill, Duncan Hemphill and Martin Sankey at the Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot. 2nd July 1982
