The Limehouse Declaration 25th January 1981 Four senior British Labour politicians

The Limehouse Declaration 25th January 1981
Four senior British Labour politicians : Left to Right Bill Rodgers, Roy Jenkins, Shirley Williams and David Owen, known as the gang of four. The Limehouse Declaration signalled their intent to leave the Labour Party and form the Council for Social Democracy, as they felt the Labour party had been taken over by left wing members.
The declaration was launched on a small bridge on Narrow Street, Limehouse close to the London home of David Owen
