Nick Bass (21) completes his apprenticeship in the printing trade. He became " Lady Codiva" to mark the end of his six year apprenticeship as a compositor at Wilkinson Bros, Laystall Street, near Leather Lane. He had a necklace of cods heads, was tied to a trolley, had water, printers inks, flour and pickle thrown at him.
