Ed Stewart and Tony Blackburn launch the 1968 Christmas broadcast personal message scheme at the Ministry of Defence TV studios in London. A recorded tape lasting 48 hours will be made in this country with personal messages from families to sailors who will not be at home for Christmas. The two disc jockeys will introduce it.
