The Wedding took place at St Pauls Cathedral on 29th July 1981
The happy royal couple having left St Pauls Cathedral, wave to the thousands of well-wishers who have lined the streets all the way to Buckingham Palace, where Charles and Diana then come out on the balcony to celebrate their day once more with the public.
Diana wore an ivory silk taffeta and antique lace gown, with a 25-foot (7.62 m) train, valued then at £ 9000. It became one of the most famous dresses in the world, and was considered one of the most closely guarded secrets in fashion history. The dress was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel.
