Traffic in Redcliffe - including horse drawn transport - was in the late 1940s
Traffic in Redcliffe - including horse drawn transport - was in the late 1940s. Redcliffe Wharf (which still awaits re-development) was then being used by the Corporations Transport Dept. for the storage of salt, sand etc. To the right of the photo is the old Redcliffe shot-tower, sadly demolished for road improvements in 1968. Few of the bomb damaged buildings to the left, and middle, of the photo have survived the years. 1st June 1949
