Restoration work begins on a Saab J29 "Flying Barrel"

Restoration work begins on a Saab J29 " Flying Barrel" jet aircraft at the Edgwick Centre, transported by road from the Midland Air Museum at Coventry Airport, Baginton.
The jet will undergo roughly twelves months of restoration work before it will live permanently at the Sir Frank Whittle Hangar at the Museum in Baginton.
The plane entered service in 1951 as part of the air defence squadron of the Swedish Air Force which covered Stockholm.
