Elton John returns from America to announce that he is back in Britain for good.
Elton said " I m staying in Britain. There is nowhere like Britain and I will pay through the nose to live here"
He went onto say " You can t be a slave to money. I have all the things money can buy. You don t need much more in life than happiness, and for me that includes living in England. I love america, but there is no way to describe the feeling you get when the plane touches down again in England.
Elton has just returned from a $7m tour, and will pay full British taxes. He had been advised that he could pay up to 30% less tax if he lived elsewhere. But 3 things were more important; his mum, Watford Football Club and The Union Jack.
