Workers at the Dewhirst shirt factory, Dormanstown, hand over £ 800 to Lowfields Special School, South Bank, which had all its video and computer equipment stolen during a recent break in. Staff raised £ 802 to replace the equipment, the money will also pay for an educational trip to London for 12 pupils. Pictured are pupils Ellen McGarrity, Karen Gill and Steven Wray, with Mrs Josie Fox, centre, who hands over the cheque on behalf of the factory girls. 1st July 1983
