Legend says that there are ninety nine yew trees in the church yard of St Marys Church in Painswick, Gloucestershire and that the hundredth will not grow. In actual fact there are 96 trees, they are clipped once a year i the first sunday after 12th September. Children dance around them ands throw flowers. They were planted two hundred and fifty years ago. 26th October 1938
