Peter Francis Roderick, of 14a, Broadway, Wembley Park, He will be three in Sept. Born while his mother lay on the floor of their Anderson shelter at Catford. Delivered by her mother at 1.55 am. Mothers sister and husband there too. No doctors or nurses until 6 am. Gunfire was very heavy and bombs were dropping very near as Peter was born. Mother was so ill that she couldn t leave the Anderson for 11 days. Then she was evacuated to Yorkshire for a year. Now they live at Wembley Park where the father drives a trolley bus. Since his birth Peter has been very well - except for catching measles. He won the first prize in the Baby show at Wembley in 1942, - beating about 40 children in his " class". No sign of nerves at all, Rides his 7 year old sisters three wheeled cycle. July 1943 P002294
