Checking out... these Rastrick High School pupils set a shining example by designing lanterns for a performance at Halifaxs historic Piece Hall. The fifth-year students (from left) Ruth Brown, Charlotte Judd-Hill and Sharon Suttle joined forces with community artists Action Factory to make lanterns for a production of GASP - Guard Against Sea Pollution. Mr Peter Gascoigne, arts development officer for Calderdale Councils museum and arts division, said Action Factorys puppets, fireworks, music and lighting effects show will be staged on November 5. It starts at 7pm, with doors open from 6pm for pre-show musical and magical entertainment. 26th October 1991
