Bank giants Nat West have given a cheque to students Brunner Comprehensive School
Bank giants Nat West have given a cheque to students Brunner Comprehensive School, Billingham for £ 75 as part of their nationwide Project Respond scheme, aimed at encouraging school children to react to local needs. And that means the Brunner fifth-formers at Brunner will be able to buy a lawnmower and other tools for their work in looking after pensioners gardens. Mr William Wilkinson (second left) manager of Billingham Nat West bank, Queensway, is pictured presenting the cheque to Mr Brian Dibb, head of social education. Also pictured are Tracey Lonsdale and Stephen Boxx, pupils who took part in the schools work. 6th July 1983
