Walk on the wild side... these hardy souls braved strong winds to hike 15 miles to raise cash for the mentally-handicapped. The walkers - 20 from the Golcar-based 39th Parkwood Cubs and Scouts and 10 adults from Burgh Mill House in Dewsbury - completed the Colne Valley circular walk. All the money is destined for Burgh Mill Houses summer holiday fund. The walk was organised by Parkwood leaders Richard Jackson, Frank Goddard and Tony Huddlestone. 10th March 1990
