Todays service was on the eve of the anniversary of the two-day bombing raid over Dresden which killed 30, 000 people. Cathedral provost the Very Rev John Petty welcomed the Lord Mayor of Dresden, Dr Herbert Wagner, and other German, US and Japanese dignitaries
