Reading up on their faraway destinations are Caroline Normanton (left) and Joanne Sharp, who have been chosen to represent North East England Guides for an experiment in international living. Caroline, 18, of Rastrick, an assistant guider with 3rd Rastrick St Johns Brownies, will be going to Mexico. Joanne, 16, of Brighouse, a Brownie leader and Ranger with 3rd Rastrick, is off to Ecuador. The girls, who are both pupils of Brighouse High School, will set off in July for three weeks, staying with families. 7th March 1986
